Transport conditions
Which conditions govern transport by UrgentX Transport, how your organisation accepts them and what applies as long as that has not happened.

The official text
General Transport Conditions 2002, published by Stichting Vervoeradres (sVa).
Which conditions
UrgentX Transport uses the Dutch General Transport Conditions 2002 (Algemene Vervoercondities, AVC) of Stichting Vervoeradres for transport within the Netherlands. The AVC are the customary conditions in Dutch professional road haulage and are filed with the registries of the district courts of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
The text itself is not on this site: Stichting Vervoeradres makes the conditions freely available and holds the copyright. Through the link below you always read the official, current version, in Dutch or in English.
How acceptance works
The AVC apply only when expressly agreed with your organisation. That happens in one of these ways, and we record the version, the moment, the method and the effective date:
A reference in the footer of this website is not an acceptance. This way it is exactly clear which conditions govern which order, and it can be verified later.
- when a portal account is created, by the administrator of your organisation;
- in the request form, with the first request;
- in the customer portal, under Details, by an administrator of your organisation;
- through a written confirmation (e-mail or signed document), which we record with a reference to that proof.
From when
The conditions apply from the moment of acceptance, to the orders placed after that. Orders from before that moment do not change; there is no retroactive effect. The order confirmation, the ride report and the invoice state the date on which your organisation accepted the conditions.
As long as the conditions have not been accepted
As long as your organisation has not accepted the AVC, the statutory carriage law of Book 8 of the Dutch Civil Code governs the transport. We then deliver in the state in which we received the shipment and without delay; for loss or damage the statutory limit per kilogram applies and for delay the amount of the freight. Additional cover for a specific shipment is agreed in advance per order.
What the AVC regulate
In outline: the obligations of sender and carrier concerning the shipment and the consignment note, the carrier's liability for loss, damage and delay and its limits, and the handling of disputes. The official text is decisive; this summary is not.
